I get it. People hate vegans and vegetarians. And it’s just another indication that the masses very rarely self-reflect or have any idea what they are doing or why. Why hate vegans? When you think about it using logic, people hate vegans but not because it makes any sense to hate vegans, because it doesn’t. Let’s think for a moment. If more people became vegan, quite obviously that would mean less animal suffering. That would mean less sickness and deaths due to heart disease. It’d mean less consumption of resources as the meat industry is responsible for a lot of it, and therefore it’d mean an improved environment. The list literally goes on and on. Regardless, people still hate veganism anyway for no practical or sensible reasons. People hate vegans for one main reason only, and that reason is because of their own discomfort. People are triggered; they like eating the animals and don’t want to feel guilty about it. Period. Subconsciously many people know vegans probably have the moral, ethical and health high ground, but people who don’t like to admit things prefer to live in their delusions and make fun of vegans anyway. And this is where we’re at right now.
It doesn’t matter the subject, people do not like to be made uncomfortable. Even when they are wrong. And so, naturally, veganism puts people on defense. The whole system; meat lovers and the corporate food industry which includes professional shills, are literally making things up nonstop to make themselves feel better, and make veganism look bad. Even though the science is very conclusive that a vegan lifestyle leads to better health, people still agree on lies and imagine that all vegans are suffering inside, physically and psychologically, and are longing for meat. People insist animal meat is needed for a “proper” balanced diet and that vegans might be well-intentioned but their “diet” is foolish. Sorry, but none of that is true or rooted in reality. In truth, most vegans feel excellent, which is why the lifestyle keeps soaring in popularity. Vegans are living longer, curing themselves of ailments and are experiencing new energy levels.
Through discourse, vegans have already won the ethical high ground when it comes to the welfare of animals, and they are also proving that it is also much healthier too with their own case-by-case health results. Sure, there are plenty of articles rambling about veganism being inferior to a meat-based diet, but of course, they are lying. That’s what corporate shills are counted on to do. They protect all industries, including the meat and dairy industry. Industries routinely misinform the masses at will with corporate science and baseless opinions from “professionals”. The “science” provided to us by corporate America is usually baseless paid for opinions from people with degrees and titles, but rarely any factual peer-reviewed research. Regardless, vegan haters are losing the information war. Veganism is on the rise and people on plant-based diets are thriving despite all the lies and disinformation hurled at them. And…people can’t stand it.
People think vegans are annoying because they talk about it. Well…so? I honestly think people want to find reasons to hate vegans and don’t really know any preachy vegans personally. So perhaps many people make the mean, angry and preachy vegan the prototype for all vegans in their minds. It makes hating them a lot easier and justified. Regardless, why shouldn’t they talk about it? Remember the animal torture and people dying from heart disease stuff? Well, yeah, that part. Not talking about things and sticking our thumbs in our ears doesn’t magically make things not true or go away. Unfortunately, there are people out there that want to roll up their sleeves and change things.
There is a mass awakening when it comes to all issues and topics, and the food industry and our diet is included. That’s why veganism is growing; people are waking up. The current state of the food industry is producing negative energy for a variety of reasons. Many people are raising their vibration and living to a higher standard, and some people’s response to this awakening is “Shut up your stupid face!” People don’t want things to change or to be made uncomfortable because no one wants to challenge anything. So, yes, vegan hate is to be expected.
I understand when people are constantly in-your-face about any topic. Yes, that could be annoying. And sure, I went through my vegan announcement phase, but most people don’t understand that dumb and obnoxious meat lovers sometimes create the preachy vegans. That’s exactly what almost happened to me. I was very quiet about my veganism but after a while, people drive you insane. From friends, family members and even complete strangers ordering food next to you, people are always throwing digs making you feel like an alien for being vegan or requesting a vegan option. Other times people who know absolutely nothing about health and fitness suddenly become experts telling us to be careful for some strange reason. They’re not worried about the puss in their milk or the hormones and drugs pumped into the browning meat of tortured animals they purchase regularly, but would like us to make sure we’re “getting enough protein”. They can be completely out of shape and see that I’m pretty physically fit, it still doesn’t matter. They still test you because it makes people feel better to lecture to the poor deluded vegan. The people that lecture vegans insult their intelligence. A lot of times its older people that you respect so you have to sit there and take it. In my case, I researched for a long time and learned everything about being vegan versus meat eating inside and out. After going vegan I monitored my health the whole way through month-to-month. And after my first year, after some ups and downs, I felt fantastic and my overall health improved 2-fold in several categories. So, when people who are already in the right in all categories keep being lectured to by idiots, expect monsters to be created. Thankfully the desire to clap back is out of my system now, but there is nothing more infuriating than people insulting your intelligence, miscategorizing your life choices and being judged by people who have no idea what they’re talking about. So if you come across a vegan with a chip on their shoulder, cut him or her a little slack.
People who love meat do because that’s the culture we’re socialized into. We have a taste for meat. So it’s understood that people don’t want to let it go. And that’s fine. No one is putting a gun to anyone’s head to stop. We can do whatever we want to do. However, we can’t stop the illumination happening to younger generations. Veganism isn’t just a fad and we have to accept that. Hating on vegans and vegan rhetoric to make ourselves feel better isn’t sound reasoning on the right side of history. When you really think things through, vegans simply aren’t a noble enemy to have.
We are in very crazy and tumultuous times. And so, there is a cultural paradigm shift on the way in. People are spiritually waking up. This is why it’s more important now more than ever to always check ourselves to determine if our thoughts and actions are rooted in truth, if it’s helping or hurting society or coming from the right place. With that said, in this climate, when it comes to vegans there are much better enemies to choose and —bigger fish to fry.
