Jussie Smollett was cleared of his charges and released. Simultaneously, however, the Chicago PD released the damning evidence they had against Smollett that contradicts the outcome. And now Trump has announced that the FBI is investigating the prosecution’s decision. The Jussie Smollett spectacle is proving something loud and clear; in a nutshell, there is definitely something very wrong with America, American media and the American justice system in this day and age.
The prosecution mysteriously dropped its case against Smollett and as a result, he has been cleared of all charges. However, the police and the city of Chicago did not change its position, so it is currently unclear what transpired. In fact, Mayor Rahm Emanuel and his police superintendent are still convinced of Smollett’s guilt and they are not happy. In a press conference, both men have made it clear that Smollett is guilty and absconded justice through covert wheeling and dealing. In contrast, Smollett still maintains his innocence.
In truth, Smollett’s assault story defies logic and reason in several instances. In addition to it not making any sense, the 2 suspects seen in the video footage were grabbed and turned out to be Nigerian Americans who Smollett knew. So they were not exactly the “MAGA country” yelling type of folks. They also had the supplies the culprits were described to have. The story was not looking good and it was appearing to be exactly what the police said. It appeared Smollett had indeed concocted his story. So, what on earth is going on and how is Jussie Smollett cleared? What has changed about what the police believed? Many people weighing in honestly have no idea. The Chicago PD believe that it is political. And now things have taken another strange turn as President Trump is calling in the FBI.
The New Playing Field
We are living in times in which something is very wrong and we keep seeing people who are lying being assisted by unseen powers, for unseen agendas. For example, 2 people already proven to be liars were given an entire docuseries to tell their stories outside of court about the late Michael Jackson. Hordes of people believe them, but I’d dare say most people do not. Since the HBO series aired, people who knew one of the accusers personally, Wade Robson, have been taking to social media to expose him as a liar, each sharing different stories and reasons why. These aren’t just MJ friends or fans, these are real people with inside information. International journalists were also able to point out things that both men claimed that were not true. Even Wade Robson’s wife, Amanda, was busted and caught in a lie. She claimed in the documentary that she was never a victim of sexual assault so she did not know how to assist Wade. However, the internet busted her for featuring herself as a sexual abuse survivor on their “victims of child abuse” fund page. The Robson’s had a fund all ready to go with the airing of the docuseries to bilk money from people sympathizing with them. After her blunder was caught however, the Robson’s quickly changed the website and took the section featuring her as a survivor, off. So as far as credibility is concerned, in the voice of Randy Jackson, “yeah that’s gonna be a ‘no’ from me, dawg”. Even though there is an abundance of information pouring out into social media exposing the featured men as liars daily, that still did not stop Oprah and mainstream stream media outlets from promoting their narrative anyway, acting as if they do not see the international backlash and they keep pushing more stories out as if it’s all fact. Despite endless debunking, media outlets keep sticking to the story. This is the chaos of the times.
Putting faith in liars is a symptom of our new victim culture. It’s a socially engineered psychological trap. Because there are so many people who relate to the trauma of sexual assault people want to believe the people telling the stories because they see themselves in the narrative and want to support them. So even when things are not adding up, people will believe anyway. This may also have been the case for Smollett. Initially, the story psychologically and emotionally pulled in many groups. Many people have a hatred for President Trump. And people who are LGBT, black and anyone else familiar with discrimination wanted to believe and support him as well. So right off the bat people were pulled in and willing to support Smollett. And if his story wasn’t so thoroughly investigated by the police he most assuredly would be believed by the same masses that believe all of these other characters.
Micheal Jackson Accuser’s Exposed By People Who Knew Them:
The Political Agendas
Smollett’s story was very quickly politicized by Democratic presidential candidates, Senators Cory Booker and Kamala Harris, who were coincidently pushing an anti-lynching bill that successfully passed in February 2019. This raised an eyebrow for many as both candidates incorporated Smollett’s ordeal into their talking points.
Queen Latifah and certain LGBT friendly celebrities inadvertently tipped us off that something might be amiss with committed and unwavering support. As Smollett was dropped from his show at the height of the scandal, Queen Latifah publicly declared in an interview with Yahoo News that she was still supporting Smollett’s story which confused scores of people. Despite the impossibility of Jussie’s narrative, certain entities kept a candle lit and kept hope alive.
The Hypocrisy Silver Lining
The only good in Smollett’s release is that it seems Smollett was charged too ferociously anyway in comparison to others peddling false claims and I’m glad that he wasn’t thrown in jail. And yes, as always in America, there is a racial element to it. As I mentioned in a previous blog, people like Wade Robson, James Safechuck and Andrea Constand who accused Bill Cosby, are quite provably liars, but with the full support of the public and the media. This isn’t negotiable or opinion. Instances of each of these people not telling the truth are on record but they were each assisted by the full might of the media. Their lies are part of a bigger plan. And many other people who were actually caught for lying were exposed but handled with kids gloves. If they were going to throw Smollett in jail, I would first like them to maintain that same energy for other fake victims. There are plenty. Rahm Emmanual and many outraged people are publicly speaking out about Smollett but they need to have a seat. In obsessively ranting about Smollett they are inadvertently displaying gross hypocrisy as they do not publicly seem to have the same energy for other people. At any rate, Chicago’s mishandling of the Laquan McDonald murder makes aggressive pursuit and outrage toward Smollett from the mayor a bad look.
Regardless, the president has now gotten involved and this weird never-ending saga is about to get weirder.
The Television Show
I’ve never had anything against Jussie Smollett personally. In fact, I was rooting for him and hoped he was telling the truth. I was waiting to hear something about his story that I didn’t know that would turn everything around. That never happened. His story did not get any better and he is still audaciously playing the (fake) victim. And some people are slowly flocking back toward support. We are without a doubt lost in an age of confusion.
With such an outrageous turn of events, we have no choice but to postulate reasons why his charges were suddenly dropped. It isn’t a far stretch to assume that Jussie Smollett is being protected because he represents something or that something was in the works with his narrative. We are in an age of lies and nonstop agendas coming from above. Unfortunately, scandal and conspiracy is now the norm these days. Yes, Smollett is an actor recently dropped from his main gig, but his role is still unfolding. Today the world is indeed a stage, a fraction of what we’re told is real and everything we see on the TV set is all a part of the show.
Brilliant article. It pretty much sums up the weird feeling that I have been living in some sort of fictionalised, propogandic world these past few weeks with the media creating division through mind control and censuring of real facts, leaving dissenting public with a sense of powerlessness and no voice other than within an internet community. I agree that we are living in the age of the victim and people are scared to speak against the mainstream otherwise you yourself are accused of being anti-‘victim’ or abuse apologetic. When the irony is, we have created a safe place for false victims to take the limelight away from genuine victims. Those willing to speak up for the unpopular truth need to battle on or we really will lose ourselves as a society.
Thank you. Yes we’re definitely in a strange, very socially engineered victim culture age in which media leads public condemnation for what we’re supposed to believe and who we are supposed to support or denounce. And agreed about those of who need to speak up. Thankfully doing what I do has enable to connect with others in the same struggle so at least that has been good about the times and helpful.
Hello Phantom Girl,
I responded to you but it never went through for some reason. Thank you! I’m sure you heard by now the new developments in the MJ saga which speaks to this new victim culture. Major black eye. And a major vindication and “told you so” for those of us trying to speak up.
Yes. I shared an extract from your article in the comments section relating to a report on the JS story in a British mainstream paper and it received a lot of agreement because readers could see how the same paper had been softening the story. Many think the same thing but it takes single-mindedness, rationality and good instinct to persevere. Sometimes it is not until journalists like you spell it out that we realise it articulates what we ourselves have been feeling but couldn’t voice it or make an intelligent opinion on it before, due to lack of true information from the media. When I first heard of the MJ film I let the seeds of doubt again enter my mind, even though I had already researched the allegations leading to the 2005 trial, when I became convinced of his innocence. But that is how powerful media can be, it can influence and manipulate you, even when you know that you know facts.
